Scope and current availability
This policy applies to monthly, quarterly, and annual DDStepUp subscriptions purchased through the DDStepUp website.
Paid subscriptions and Paddle Checkout are not live yet. If Paddle confirms product eligibility and is activated, Paddle will act as merchant of record and handle payment collection, taxes, billing, subscription management, and refunds. This policy will be checked against the live checkout before payments are activated.
No payment can currently be made through DDStepUp. Do not send payment-card or banking information by email.
This policy is subject to Paddle's Refund Policy, the Paddle Buyer Terms, and applicable consumer law. It does not limit any right that cannot legally be waived. If these rules conflict, the rule providing the customer with greater protection will apply.
Three-day free trial
Eligible new learners are planned to receive one three-day free trial beginning when an eligible DDStepUp account is created. No payment method will be required to start the trial, and starting the trial will not create a paid subscription or authorize a future charge.
At the end of the trial, subscription-only features will stop unless the learner actively chooses and purchases a paid plan. A payment method will be requested only when the learner chooses to subscribe. Checkout will show the amount due, recurring price, billing interval, taxes, and renewal terms before the purchase is submitted.
There is no need to cancel the free trial, and it will not automatically convert into a paid subscription. The free trial is intended to be available once per person. Changing an email address or creating another account will not create a new trial entitlement.
General refund rule
DDStepUp does not offer a separate voluntary money-back guarantee. Except where applicable law, Paddle's policies, or the circumstances described below require or support a refund, completed subscription payments are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
DDStepUp does not ordinarily provide refunds or credits for unused time in a current billing period, a change of mind, failure to cancel before renewal, limited use of paid features, or a customer's change in needs or circumstances.
Paddle may, at its sole discretion, review a refund request submitted within 14 days of a transaction. This is a review window, not a promise or guarantee of a refund. Paddle may approve a full refund, approve a partial refund, or decline the request after considering the product, the reason for the request, usage or consumption, applicable terms, and evidence of fraud or abuse.
Cancellation and paid access
Subscriptions will renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout until canceled. If Paddle is activated, customers will be able to cancel through the Paddle Customer Portal. Cancellation prevents future renewal charges and ordinarily takes effect at the end of the current paid period, subject to applicable law and the terms shown at checkout.
Canceling is different from requesting a refund. Canceling does not automatically return a completed payment. A customer who cancels without receiving a refund will ordinarily retain paid access until the end of the current billing period.
If a free trial ends without becoming a paid subscription, or when canceled paid access reaches the end of its current billing period, subscription-only features will end. DDStepUp may allow the account to continue using features made available without charge at that time, but free access is not guaranteed and is not part of the paid subscription. The availability, scope, and duration of free features may change, expand, be limited, or end as the product develops.
Cancellation does not immediately delete the account or its learning records. If paid subscriptions launch, DDStepUp may retain a former trial or subscription account and its associated learning data for a grace period of at least 90 days after paid or trial access ends. After that period, an inactive account may be deactivated or deleted, and its associated learning data may be deleted or anonymized at any time.
DDStepUp may not send a separate email or other individual notice before deleting an inactive account. Users should not rely on DDStepUp as permanent storage for their learning records. Deleted accounts and data may not be recoverable. Users may separately initiate permanent account deletion through the available account controls at any time. Certain transaction, security, fraud-prevention, audit, or other records required by law may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
Stopping use of DDStepUp, deleting an account, or removing a payment method does not by itself cancel a subscription.
Refunds and remedies that may still apply
A customer may request review, regardless of the general no-refund rule, when:
- the same charge was processed more than once;
- the customer believes the transaction was unauthorized or made in error;
- payment completed but paid access was not provided;
- a persistent material technical defect prevented use of the main paid features;
- the product supplied was materially different from its description at purchase; or
- Paddle, a payment provider, or applicable law requires a refund or another remedy.
DDStepUp may first attempt to resolve a technical issue within a reasonable time. The customer may be asked for the account email, Paddle receipt or transaction number, payment date, a description of the issue, and relevant screenshots or error details. Payment credentials and identity documents must not be sent by email.
Mandatory consumer rights
Cooling-off, withdrawal, cancellation, and refund rights vary by country and region. They are not restricted by this policy.
As of this policy's effective date, Paddle's published policy describes full-refund or withdrawal rights that may apply to certain consumers, including 7 days for China, South Korea, Brazil, and Canada; 5 days for Singapore; and 14 days for certain transactions in the European Union, European Economic Area, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Other rules or exceptions may apply.
Eligibility is determined by the law and the Paddle Buyer Terms and Refund Policy in effect for the transaction, together with Paddle's review. Mandatory rights always take priority over DDStepUp's general no-refund rule.
How to request a refund
If Paddle is activated, a customer may request a refund using the support or transaction-management link in the Paddle receipt, by visiting Paddle buyer support, or by emailing support@ddstepup.com.
An email request should be sent from the address associated with the DDStepUp account or Paddle transaction and include enough information to identify the purchase. Approved refunds will be processed by Paddle to the original payment method where possible. DDStepUp will not refund a Paddle transaction by cash, private transfer, or an off-platform payment.
Access after refunds and disputes
When a refund is approved, access associated with the refunded subscription will end and the subscription may be canceled to prevent future renewal. The customer must not continue using features or content available only through that paid subscription.
The account may continue with any free access then available, but that access is not guaranteed. The account and its associated learning data are subject to the same retention and inactive-account rules described above.
If a refund, chargeback, payment reversal, or fraud review is pending, paid access may be temporarily restricted while the transaction is reviewed. Evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behavior may result in a refund being declined. These controls do not restrict lawful consumer rights.
Any retention of free-account data remains subject to the Privacy Policy and account controls.
Processing and final decision
Paddle will process approved refunds and determine the final amount using its policies, applicable consumer law, transaction and request dates, the amount and currency paid, product usage, and available evidence of billing errors, defects, fraud, or abuse.
Refunds will ordinarily be returned to the original payment method. Posting times depend on Paddle, the payment method, and the customer's financial institution. If billing launches, DDStepUp will use signed provider events—not a checkout confirmation screen alone—to update product access.
